Has anyone else read this?

It's written by a Yank who moved back in with his dad. His father is one of those bluff coves who goes through life speaking his mind and his son made a collection of some of his words.

One of my favourites is:

On my response to having my tyres slashed - "Oh, don't go to the goddamned cops. They're busy with real shit. I don't want my tax dollars going to figuring out who thinks you're an asshole."

That's very funny.

My dad and I were talking to the barmaid in his local when I was 16, out of the blue he asked her ...."will you take my boy away and bring him back a man"

Alas she didn't.

It was made into a tv show with will shatner as the dad!! Think it bombed though.

Best/weirdest thing my dad has said to me yet....I'd you wanna mess someone up, hit them in the face with a saw....can't sew the wound up

Ive only ever read 5 books and this is one of them (more shit my Dad says). Im sure I read the second book.

I'll be looking to take the first book away on hols this year.

My dear old dad fond of the whisky...got d*unk whilst staying here.....fell in the bathroom pulling shower rail down and almost pulling sink off the wall....when challenged sober his reply....make up for all the damage you did to my house over the years!
