When do they start becoming out of date here to the point where you ask:

Got any recent/new photos?

Do you look like that now? Etc.

If someone said this was taken several years ago. Would you demand a new photo before meeting them?

"Also what type of photo should all people have on here in some form?"

Why "should" anyone have or do anything other than abide by site rules?

It's up to each individual how they use the site, not anyone else to say what they "should" do.

Why would there even be a type of photo that everyone "should" have? I won't meet without seeing a face pic but I wouldn't go as far as to declare everyone "should" have one.

There is no one answer to that, obviously photos should resemble the person when you meet, but a few years old is fine if its a good pic why change it?

I think if you've changed then definitely get a new one up as people want to know who they're going to meet, not what you looked like a couple of years ago.

if the last pics uploaded were from 2011, with verifications to match, I would have no problem asking for updated photos....but I would never demand them

If they're wearing flares and a kipper tie or maybe an actual skool uniform (not the kinky kind) then maybe ask for an update. I always send an up to date piccy (and yes you're quite right there are no public pics but when you're this famous.....discretion).

Also sometimes like a pic of person holding up the days newspaper showing date in a kind of hostage type scenario but without the cable ties and gag (mmmmm).

I posted some new pics last year after plastic surgery to make me look less like Brad Pitt and once I'd had a few inches chopped off my knob.

So they're relatively up to date.

But if I ever have Rooney/Shane Warne style hair implants I'll have to update them again.

They're perfectly valid points. You ask what people should do. I ask why people should do anything other than what they want to.

Just because I'm questioning what you ask doesn't make me a troll.

We see threads all the time on here about what others should do. People should always reply, people shouldn't block etc etc

So, again, why should anyone think they have the right to say what anyone else "should" do?

I think anyone demanding anything on here is someone I don't want to meet. I dislike the sense of entitlement some have.

Anyone demanding anything of me on here is much more likely to be blocked than to get what they want.

The answer is simple.

We all get together each year and have a Fab Family portrait taken.

The tall ones like me will get dumped at the back obviously.

The annual photo will validate your grave concerns - and we can each get a key ring or a mouse mat.

We haven't spoken once. Yet you've blocked me and this was within several posts of me joining this site for the first time. Being filtered out is fair enough as we all have different preferences. Secondly regardless what I post when theres a comment to make. If there is any form of criticism that's been made it's by you mainly and it's all the time. Yes we all have our own opinions on things and yes everyone is entitled to their beliefs, but I don't think I have seen one positive post from you since I've joined this site the first time around. It seems that you only do this towards my posts.

When I first gate crashed the forums I had too much to say too soon.

In retrospect I was a knob.

Your post is one of those posts that's going to agitate all types of opinion - and some of it will not be what you want to hear.

If a post is just to get nods of approval and agreement then it's folly.

You should read your audience before you ask certain questions. I've learned to do that.

I'm still a knob though.

You raise a valid point, but when it's the same user for every post. It seems stupid as it's like there's no pleasing them. For example you could agree with this post and then I may create another one saying Real Madrid are better team in the last 5 years than Barcelona and you disagree and we'll have a debate about it and all is good as you will get people who will and won't agree and that's where the interesting bit lies, but when you constantly disagree with someone. No matter what they post and it seems to be with the same user. Then it starts getting personal, which is strange as you can't form an opinion on someone unless you have met them, spoken to them or you have seen them being insulting towards others and none of the 3 have happened or will happen.

Of course people are free to use the site as they choose. I don't personally think however that it is in the spirit of aiming to meet people, if the photos you use are not reflective of the person you are today.

I agree. Let's get back on the subject. Recently spoke to a member on here and they sent me a photo to see if I recognised it and it was atleast several years old. So I asked for a recent one and was told that was the only pic they were willing to send. So just curious was I in the wrong for asking for a recent photo? As the one I was showed first a few years back may have been old then.

Rubbish. I disagree with and question lots of people and there are plenty of your posts I don't comment on at all. I know this to be true because I see and actively avoid some of them.

That you mention being blocked shows you have hurt feelings and are clearly a bit over-sensitive about it.

You come across as over-sensitve about a lot of things actually. I think you'd be much happier if you stopped taking things - in life, not just here - personally and grew a thicker skin.

Now, I answered your question (including saying I wouldn't meet without seeing a face photo), are you going to answer mine?

Of course you weren't wrong. You can use the site, and decide who to meet, in whatever way suits you.

Likewise the other person can choose to send whatever photos they like, including none at all.

If you expected them to do what you want, and behave to suit you, then you were wrong.

You are being over-sensitive. You often are.

I'm the only one who has said something you don't like on this thread so far, which is why you're only saying it to me.

You always seem to have an expectation of what you want to hear when you post and you take it personally if anyone doesn't post in line with what you want.

I gave my answer and asked a question with no personal comments at all. I was called a troll. It wasn't me that started with the personal comments and it wasn't me that felt the need to harp on about being blocked. He's clearly got hurt feelings over that, hence all the nonsense.

I could have complained about being called a troll, since it's a personal insult, which, you'll notice, I haven't resorted to. I haven't complained, just pointed out I asked a perfectly reasonable question, because I have my big girl pants on today and couldn't give a shit.
