Or do other women find the terms MILF and cougar completely derogatory? I don't want to be defined by my age anymore than I do by my size or my hair colour. Older men don't seem to have equivalent terms except maybe letch and who would use that?

Any message I get that has those terms in the title or even as part of the profile name gets deleted without being read. So think on young'n and look sharp!

I don't find them derogatory, they're a stupid stereotype perpetuated by the porn industry but I find them more childish and irritating...I tend to use the application of such terms a useful idiot filter...

I have guys only 3 years younger calling me cougar or older woman

But what really pisses me off is being called milf, I don't have kids.....so definitely not a milf.

I don't like to be defined by my age but for women in todays culture of youth it's inevitable. We're all defined somehow and usually by physical characteristics unless someone knows us well, tall, dark and handsome is a well used description as is petite blonde. The sexual overtones of milf and cougar are off putting to me more than anything.

Not just you, I state it on my profile. It's the assumption by some men that older women are cougars who hunt them and treat them like their boys, dragging them around clubs to show them off

I don't disagree with any of this but there is a huge number of women that describe themselves as milf or cougar thus perpetuating the the whole thing.

In all honest when people don't use their real names here then I don't think it really matters but if it bothers you ignore, block of inform the people who use it.
