Does anybody else ever get bored in the middle of the night and go for random drives? Having the roads to yourself with your window down feels great

When I was at university. Me and my friend use to revise and to relax we would go for a run or kick about a football at like 2am. Good old days

P.O. Box DE1 0NQ

In 1985 I was working nights (4 on 3 off) and couldn't sleep so decided to have a trip up to Hull to see ma gran, about 120 miles.

I took all the backroads and stuck to every speed limit on the way. Got there about 4.30 am, parked up under the Humber bridge and got ma head down for a couple of hours.

Managed to get about 55 mpg out of ma battered 2 litre Cav. Came back on the M1 and got that down to a more normal 35

Somewhere in North Norfolk

I used to when I had a fun car.

Now I can't justify wasting the fuel. I only drive when I have to. Although my car is a heap, and running it is a real financial strain, I feel very fortunate that I'm able to.

LONDON (se)

I did when I had a car. Really helped me destress and clear my head.

Miss my car
