Why is desperation so unappealing? At the very moment when we want something above all else we make it unobtainable by wanting it desperately.

Is there anyone out there that hasn't been like that at least once in their life?

Think it's the way it turns a rational person into some sort of monster that will stop at nothing to get what they want. It can look quite sad when seeing it from the outside.

Because desperation normally means the person who has it will take anything. Therefore whatever goes their way isn't special at all.

I find my desperation for cake deeply unappealing but I always find an appealing cake to soothe that little worry away.

I think when we know what we want and are confident it is as if we attract what we want like a magnet. However when we lose our centre and desperately clutch at what we desire, we reverse polarity and repel it.

Possibly. Not even our bloody dog. How's this for a liberty? My granddaughter took it out for a walk and when she went to take it back the neighbour failed to answer the door. The little fucker is locked in the bedroom with us throwing a toy teddy around and chewing its ear off
