"No it isn't as seeing a picture of someone isn't the same as meeting in person and besides at least them you know that the two match, if that makes sense. Too many times I've gone to meet someone only to find they don't look like their picture. However there are those who prefer to meet without a social and I've been told to join a dating site cos I don't belong on here " Sounds like it was the same guy as that's exactly what he said to me

"I assume the op meant Is it, not It is. In that case, I would like to have a social meet first before getting ma gonads out. In the vanilla world I chat to women and get to know them before either of us decide to take things to another level. Why should it be any different on here " That's what I meant...was a bit mad when posted and got it the wrong way round

"I agree with the earlier comment about being a single woman and organising a social in a public place for safety reasons. If you get on and want to meet again then fine and if not then also fine. I've also been slated for insisting on a social meet first! One guy refused to meet me in a pub (which was a nice quiet one) as he said he wanted to talk to me not shout at me and was trying to insist that I went to his house! Silly silly man...AS IF !! " I have socials for many reasons, safety being the number one reason. I can't believe some guys message asking if I'm free, can I come over. Really? Is a single woman really going to invite a complete stranger fron the internet to her place??! Maybe some do but guys that turn down socials (I've had a few) must be mad, its just a drink and I've not had many that didn't go further. I've made some very good friends too from them. So be it if I'm called a time waster for being safe and doing things my way, if they'd had actually turned up they would know I'm not a time waster, oh the irony!

"Freakish to want a social meet first before agreeing to jump into bed with someone??" I insist, not for safety reasons in my case, but because some people don't live up to their profile. Fortunately it's been very few but I have been in a very embarrassing situation more than once. As a single woman, I'd think you were very foolish not to have a public social meet first. If it goes well, you can always take it further there and then if convenient. Keep safe xx I sound like your fucking dad lol.
