Rodger's philosopy is good to watch but its a bit naive, and I think that's come back to bite you on the arse. Close but no cigar i'm afraid.

As a United fan. I am so happy to see smug twat gerrard slip up other week to possible start the ball rolling in their decline for the title. If liverpool dont win the league this year, then they sure won' t next year it has never been easier for them

I'm a United fan too but can honestly say I've never considered Gerrard a smug twat. I'd go as far as to say he's one of the least smug players I can think of.

If Liverpool win I will be happy for him, although that's now looking unlikely. I say that despite the fact we'll never hear the end about it from the other end of the East Lancs Road.

I can't hide my dislike of Suarez however and no amount of persuading will convince me he's not a turd.

Agree with all of the above, Gerrard deserves to win a title (but glad he probably won't) Suarez is a truly fantastic player, but dislike is not quite a strong enough word for me

As a United fan I'm so pleased that Sterling was taken off at 3-0 as I still got an extra point for a clean sheet in the fantasy league!

Definitely not over yet, Villa have a decent record over City last couple of years (cup win at Etihad) and beat them in the league at VP this season, they have pace which has unsettled City, and though City dismantled West Ham in the Cup they had no defenders at the time, and now they are all back they can be tough to break down.

As for 2nd or 7th, very few people remember who finished in either position, for most of the last 40 years

40 years, so you're starting with your relegation? funny thing is, it's united fans who are gloating, that their city rivals are going to win the league!!! how sad is that? city fans are fine, good luck to them, it's been a great race, oh and by the way get your next manager wrong and wilderness awaits!

excited is fine which is why I didn't begrudge when as an arsenal fan you beat us 5-1.... it was humility that was lacking over the last few weeks that has turned me off....

Not really that sad tho is

Yes it does smart a little having city up there but aside from a being a united fan...i'm a manc. So even its the wrong team picking up the trophy it still far better then it ending up at the wrong end of the ship canal

Isn't that why we built the ship canal, cos all our gear kept disappearing before it even got as far as Manchester

Btw, I said 40 years because as a 46 year old it's about as far back as I remember directly

This season Liverpool have exceeded everyone's expectations.

Even the most fervent Liverpool fan, could not have envisaged even having a bubble last August.

So to hear it burst today, means Liverpool had a brilliant season.

No no no of Gerard deserved a title he would have won one by now , everyone goes on about him being loyal blah blah blah but when Chelsea came knocking he was soon almost out the door, Liverpool have ayes the best football this season no doubt but he does not deserve to win a title at all
