In that case, no sympathy for him at all. Hope you're all ok and the children haven't been scared witless. Take care x

It only takes a few seconds to get to 80 on a bike so he could've only been on it a very short time.

So glad you and your kids are ok. Hope the biker is too. He may be stupid but someone loves him somewhere.

i know how quickly they accelerate, but really, pissed, if he had really turned it on, i very much doubt he would have controlled it enough to get to the back of a car, unless i suppose they were parked up close by.

im guessing this happened on the motorway, and the bike was going a lot faster than 80, the OP was doing that speed.

still, shocking thing to happen with the kids in th ecar.

i had similar, a guy tried to park his freelander under my trailer on the M1 one night.

was about to give him a round of fucks, until i got to his car and saw the babyseat in the back seat.

thank fuck he was on his way home from work and not a family day out!!

We were slowing down approaching a roundabout he over took the car behind then must have lost control. Didn't even see or hear him coming just heard and felt the bang. When we got out the car we both thought we were Lookin at a dead body!!

he could've been well pissed.

he also could have had half a pint, and still been within the legal limit to drive. alcohol in the mouth takes 20-30 minutes to evaporate so had he only had a little just before the accident he'd have still reeked of it. according to my father who is over 30 years experienced paramedic and police in the u.s.

that's no excuse for traveling the speed you think he was travelling, and I'm sorry this happened to your family, but there are other possibilities to the situation.

Its good to hear that you were all bored sitting in A&E.

Its horrible when your mind goes through what could have happened.

Lets hope the other person involved is ok, he obviously received far worse injuries.

No not to start with of course. But we were told to turn him over and take it off while on the phone to 999.
