Go for the Welsh 3000 next followed by the 3 Peaks Challenge if you can put a team and driver together!

Comfy boots, 3 or 4 pairs of nice new thick socks, lightweight tent and sleeping bag, plus a tangia stove with sig water and fuel bottles!

Go for it and enjoy every moment!

I am relaxing in the cottage after climbing a mountain in the lake district, my legs hurt and I'm sunburnt as it has been hot.

Well done OP for your achievement x

Cheers guys. For me it's been age that has made me appreciate the whole walking thing.

I've been asked to cycle John O' Groats to Lands End next year. Now that's a whole different thing!

I've done the cyclo-cross race. By far physically the hardest thing I have ever done. Well done I'd love to walk them one day and take my hat off to anyone that have.

I love that part of the world it's beautiful

Well done OP. It is quite tough physically and mentally. Especially when your on the last peak and you stand at the bottom of Ingleborough and look at what you have to go up lol. We tried and failed the national three peaks challenge but that was partly due to bad planning and a driver that didn't go above 60 on the motorway. Good luck if you decide to do it but don't do it in October like we did. The west highland way is a great walk if you have a few days off

We're looking at August and have a driver that wouldn't spare the horses so we should be ok on that score.

Hopefully the weather should be good so we should enjoy some great views...

Somewhere near NE Derbyshire/S Yorkshire/Nottinghamshire border

It's probably a bit late now for this year but how about getting a fab team together for next year, one bank holiday weekend for the national peaks those that couldn't make the whole weekend could join for one day

What people think?

Sounds great - but surely there is always the risk they'd stop for a shag on the way?

Bloody well done mate! It's a tough gig. And given that a lot of competitors have a few years on you (no offence meant) especially well done! I hope that you find a girl/ couple kind enough to reward you!

No offence taken mate.

It's given me an appetite to challenge myself more with stuff like this.Maybe it's a mid-life crisis kicking in early
