wow

it really does make a difference when yo go out to speak to them in person rather than putting a note thru the door.

Have move into a small house = and the tree is well growing over my window, was talking on here and heard what i thought was the next door neighbour mowing his lawn.

So rolled a fag and went outside.

.

.

.

He ssaid he was moving the lawn for the guy who lived there, cos he always on shifts,, and asdked how long i had lived here,

when i said 2 weeks, he was like, oh, we are all having a bbq tonight, come along, everyone in this close all talk to each other and itslovely, and you are more than welcome,

.

Would not have had THAT offer if i had just put a note thru the door!!!

AND he is gonna cut the tree

Well neighbours are either brilliant or from hell. It sounds like you got the former in your new house.

Have fun!

Our road is perfectly formed for such goings on but nobody ever bothers. We did invite both sets of neighbours to a BBQ we had last year but neither bothered to come over.

The couple who've moved in next door are having a house-warming BBQ tonight. They've not invited any of the neighbours though from what I can tell.

If you get to the BBQ and see a Wicker Man, I'd suggest you make your excuses and leave.

I'm treating my neighbour to an evening of Slayer's greatest hits, on repeat, starting the moment I go out. I will be victorious in our little war....

You have neighbors like ours!

We've never lost either, they give up after a year lol

We can be everyones friend, or everyones worst enemy. Depends on their attitude.

A couple of months after I moved into my place my neighbours called round with a case of stella for me to apologise for their little girl being noisy due to her teething (to be honest I'd never heard a thing). We got talking and they invited me round to theirs that night for a bbq, we had a great laugh and I ended up seeing their sister for a few months. They've now become two of my closest friends. Pity they're moving next month.

In the 28 yrs i have lived here i have had some horrendous neighbours.

Its come to blows on a few occasions i can tell you.

But thankfully now it seems to have settled down.

Mind.........

I dont like to tell them that since landscaping me garden and getting all posh like..i can now smell their animals and what they leave lying around.

they got 5 kids....4 dogs...10 cats...6 guinea pigs

But have to say...are less noisy than the house the other side with only two kids and no animals
