I'm certain some of the shit I was fed as a kid is illegal / immoral now.

Meat Paste ( wtf )

Luncheon meat ( what animal is a fucking luncheon)

Ox Tail Soup ( a tail flavoured soup!)

More reminiscent whinging / if nothing else to get everyone off the Subway debate x

My mum once said we were going on a health kick and she was going to grill our fish fingers. She did just that but put a blob of lard on top of each fish finger!

Most of my tea ( dinner if not from the north) was from the chip pan.

I should be dead.

We had soya mince, yeoman mash and tinned peas. Mash every night except Sunday. Spam sandwiches (not going into what Spam is made from). Our iron intake was from jelly that had sea in it

"We were never given processed good when we younger... It was all fresh veg, fruit and meat!

Our one treat was fish and chips wrapped in proper newspaper every Friday night. "

REAL food... Sponsored by last night's Evening Mail...

Putting the 'cum' in Eboracum

I still eat oxtail. I also eat tongue and brawn. Tastes good so no point in wasting it.

Its the sugary shit I ate that is concerning. I'm surprised I have a tooth left in my head!

We may have been fed some shit food but the veg was always fresh from the garden or allotment and grocer. Meat was fresh from the butcher. Not in the quantities we eat now, we had more fruit & veg than meat most weeks and little or no frozen foods.

Sweets were a once a week treat when we chose a quarter from Woolworths likewise fizzy was three glass bottles delivered to the door from the van which came round on a Saturday, the rest of the week it was squash, milk or water.

Dartford

Has anyone mentioned Monster Munch and candy cigarettes washed down with cherry flavoured Corona.

Still, you burn off all those calories if you're playing out instead of on video games

In the middle

We had mash with everything, or my mam gave you a choice of chips or scollops We had a quarter of sweets on a Saturday for a treat, mine was usually pear drops, and supper on a Sunday after we had all had a bath was fried bread with brown sauce
