From today's news, I so hope Ms Carmen Briscoe gets her wish.

BBC article : http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-27244889

At 2:20 ish in the video, the old dear, bless her, just states a simple wish, with overtones of John Lennon, "all she wants is the truth". I truly hope the honest, decent old dear gets her wish.

You would think her daughter, barrister, part time judge and author would be able to help her, wouldn't you?

Not so. Let's hope that justice is eventually served and served properly.

According to the Trial judge Mr Justice Baker "a custodial sentence was "almost inevitable". Why almost?

It isn't the first time a barrister/author will have served jail time for perverting the course of justice.

The thin edge of a huge wedge of a corrupt system?

Anyone else have views?

Its a pretty sad state when mother and daughter have such a poor relationship and there are no winners in this.

I find myself being more concerned by the impact of doubts in respect to the integrity of this barrister and part time judge. Will we now see cases she was involved in being reviewed and possibly being returned to court for retrial.

It appears that the barrister is being investigated for forging some documents in the course of winning the libel case.

If true, then there can be no doubt over her integrity or lack of.
