Clarkson again

York

It would seem someone has gone to the absurd length of having a tape of Mr Clarkson forensically screened to see if he said something other than what was actually screened.

I question the motive behind such a move.

Everyone is aware that 99% of what he says is for entertainment.

Why go to such costly and no doubt technically difficult lengths in an attempt to brand the man a racist.

He may be a lot of frivolous shallow things but-I doubt racism is one of them.

I'm convinced that 90% of this site recognise the words of what was after all a Nursery Rhyme.

Bad taste in this day and age but that's what it was!

Clarkson does get a lot of stick, doesn't he? Like all strong characters, he gets many detractors and many fans. I think life would be less interesting without such people. Personally, I like him. His writing is entertaining. No, of course he does not mean half of what he says. He takes a topic and expands it to its illogical conclusion.

He deserves a lot of the stick he gets. In fact it seems as if he may quite possibly be one of the biggest arses around.

However Top Gear is hugely entertaining and that is in no small part down to Clarkson and I for one cant wait for the next series of his particular brand of bafoonery!

Definitely would not want him as a neighbour!

It's entertainment no more or less, it was a nursery rhyme taught in school at the time.

Professional what?

I like clarkson they need to give that guy a break.

He can't open his mouth. Everytime he dies the press has a field day..to be quite honest it's getting tedious.

My dad is as black as black gets and he likes him too.

Saying 'it's a nursery rhyme' doesn't mean anything. So what? Nursery rhymes make words magically better?

If he said that word, he was either being completely thoughtless or (more likely) trying to be 'edgy' and controversial and went too far.

I hear that the people who live round him in the IoM may take issue with you there...

Seem to remember he didn't make too many friends in his previous Cotswold abode.

I've always hated top gear, i have no interest in cars(though I like their shapes sometimes), having watched very few episodes, he always stood out to me...from his very voice, to some of his comments..especially when it comes to this type of comment:-

"driving this car is like arranging a mass buffet, for the dangerous!"(pause, start engine n drive off...like a twat into a dusty sunset....TWAT!

Jeremy Clarkson says those things that many people are afraid to mention. Surely the word nigger simply denotes a colour.

In the film 'Dambusters', Guy Gibson's dog was called nigger because the dog was black.

Is it racist to call a person from Scotlant 'Jock', or to call a Welsh person 'Taffy'. This racist debate has gone too far and gone on long enough.

You are as usual being provocative in your veiled ignorance that the 'n' word denotes a colour..

but with you that's not a surprise, green arrow tells the story of your deep rooted prejudiced views..

as for the racist 'debate', maybe it will go when ignorance and bigoted people realise they are out of touch..

sorry from a person with no chip on ones shoulder for being either mixed race and scottish, i find this utter idiotic statement disgusting.Would u allow ur children to use such language? i fucking hope not.

I dont even like it being used by black people..in a 'friendly' manner or via rap music etc.

it IS a name that is to reduce a person like me as a lower species of human.Try reading up on some things...

I think logically about most things, I understand there are some things even I dont like seeing that comes from other groups of people coming to this country or laws that go against human rights that we accept due to religious reasons....but to say the word nigger means simply black?, check the dictionary definition, its been around since before all this PC brigade crap came about.
