PM s in chat room?

Ok as browsers and perves of the chat rooms, we are aware of the whispers on the old sites, and send and recieve some PMs on the new site.

But what is the score regarding someone who sends a PM without writing anything, is it the same as a wink, showing interest? or is it possibly a tech alfunction.

Getting these "silent" PMs we are unsure whether to reply or not and afraid we are makingus out to be ignorant, any guidance welcome, thanks

Why not just ask the person that has sent it if you like the look of them
