i would just like to go on record..and say i am disgruntled by the way some people act on here...

i sent a mail to a female earlier and i was polite...we a exchanged a few mails and she asked for a pic...i sent....and was quickly blocked....there was no..."sorry your not what i am looking for or a no thanks"....and they say single guys are rude....

i pay good money to be on here and quite frankly am disgusted people...feel the need to behave in such way and feel that the site needs to protect us verified loyal paying customers to some degree..as i find this totally unacceptable...especially from a persons who are free users or not verified ...

Put your hurt feelings away and get over it. Would you really have felt any better about a rejection.

You didn't get the result you wanted but that's part of being here. The extra features you get as a result of being a site supporter does not entitle you to a reply, to not being blocked or anything else not advertised as part of the features included.

You don't pay to be here, you choose to pay for specified additional features. It doesn't make you any better or any more entitled to anything than a person using a free membership.

Seriously, put your big boy pants on. She didn't fancy you. Or maybe she knows you in non-swinging life.

Honestly, the level of entitlement some people on here have beggars belief.

She'd also possibly had abuse in the past for saying no and wanted to avoid that chance.

After all, the degree of entitlement the OP has spilled out as vitriol and whining here so what's to say he wouldn't have aimed his dissatisfaction at her if he'd been able.

Some people don't take rejection well and some people aren't good at saying no thanks.

If the lady in question finds the way she uses fab to be the way best suited to her then, as long as she's acting within the rules, that's her choice.

It's pretty poor form to be bitching about her behind her back when she has no opportunity to defend herself.

Her side of the story may well be very different to his and it's pretty unfair to call her rude, an ego junkie or anything else based on the OP's side alone.

Well that's added a few more to my block list from this thread! No body is 'entittled' to any thing on here. Get over yourself. She didn't like your pic, a block told you that, chances are she's had previous convos where the guy has been rude when told no thanks, continued to mail asking why not?, or tried again a week later. Personally I think she made the right choice, a whingy, toys out the pram, I'm special post from you, shows how badly you take rejection.

If you chose to correspond with unverifieds and non site supporters that's your look out. Use your filters if it bothers you that much.

Had she carried on a chain of messages post pic receipt and then gave him the heave ho, it would have been her being blocked.

When will people realise that blocking isn't rude ?

Personally, I'd much rather be blocked than have my time wasted by a pointless conversation where I think they are interested but aren't and just don't have the guts to say. I say no thanks then block on my single profile (purely to cease communications)

Saying no thanks is in my mind a courtesy, sometimes I explain why too, nicely.

It's still a rejection though so no guarantee the recipient will feel any less crappy than just a straight block.

If they had a 'not what im looking for button' that messaged the person then blocked them there would still be unhappy people who now want to know why they're not what you're looking for.

I very often read emails but won't get chance to answer straight away, some I purposely wait a couple of days before answering (ones I suspect may be cut and paste)

Those that have blocked me because I've not answered straight away or those its taken me 2 or 3 days to answer, well, I figure they've done me a favour because if they can't wait a couple of days for a response to a first email, they are probably part of the insta shag club, which I'm not a member of

I've never understood the block button ever being needed for anything else other than someones acted like a twat.

Its quite amazing finding people who have blocked u, unblock in the future, or u meet them at a party etc..

I'd rather people still be able to see my profile and likewise..as profiles often evolve(or devolve), but a not looking to be contacted filter may be nice( like a block, but only blocking mails from the said person), this would basically say I'm not interested but you can still see my profile,fab my pics.

In respect to the OPs post, yes he hasnt come across very well...but neither do couples and females who say the same thing..usually moreso on statuses though..

Get over yourself and realise people are allowed to use the site and site tools within the confines of the rules. The person did nothing wrong, but perhaps bruised your ego? Perhaps the person didn't know how to politely say "thanks, but no thanks", or has had abuse in the past due to saying just that, hence protecting themself.

When will people realise that a delete or block IS stating a response of no thanks!

Saying no thanks is in my mind a courtesy, sometimes I explain why too, nicely.

It's still a rejection though so no guarantee the recipient will feel any less crappy than just a straight block.

If they had a 'not what im looking for button' that messaged the person then blocked them there would still be unhappy people who now want to know why they're not what you're looking for."

Its quite amazing finding people who have blocked u, unblock in the future, or u meet them at a party etc..

I'd rather people still be able to see my profile and likewise..as profiles often evolve(or devolve), but a not looking to be contacted filter may be nice( like a block, but only blocking mails from the said person), this would basically say I'm not interested but you can still see my profile,fab my pics.

In respect to the OPs post, yes he hasnt come across very well...but neither do couples and females who say the same thing..usually moreso on statuses though..

I only use the block button on my single profile (weird as this sounds) to be fair to certain guys, and they're not a tiny group. For 6 months I didn't block anyone. The same guys would send friend invites and messages over and over, sometimes 10 or 15 times in bad cases. Eventually I thought, this is unfair kid, you're giving them the impression, despite saying no that actually you're still interested, there's a chink of light. Not suggesting I'm worth their efforts by saying this!!

It's a mixed message as it were. I don't want to lead anyone on if im not interested. I think it's the fact it's seen as punitive that gets peoples backs up, I don't see it as punitive, nor am I elevated by doing it (I feel bad often) but I think fellas benefit from clear unambiguous communications, hence I politely say no and sometimes explain why too.

We have tried the reply no thanks method but for this all we receive is "but why" so we explain politely this then leads to a constant barrage of mails from the guy trying to persuade us to change our mind. This ultimately leads to a block. So we now cut out all the middle crap and go for the block. Problem solved.

Its sorta why I'm suggesting it doesnt have to be a 'block', but something that ceases communication....what is the harm in people seeing a profile?- there are thousands of people who probably wont mail but perv profiles here and there..they all wont be ur thing.I just dont see a need to block them as if theyve done something nasty.

Like I have said before in many blocking threads, I have ended up meeting people who have blocked me in the past, and ended up having a great nite after meeting at a social,party etc...who knows, perhaps they woud have been interested the more my profile changed, but that block button stops all viewing doesnt it?

*anyway I do well enough not to complain about being blocked..but there are lots blocking willy nilly, and then complaining the site is shite..

I'd have no issue with a option that meant they couldn't contact me but can see the profile. The men I block I have no physical interest in and never will. Im a firm supporter of giving people time if im not immediately put off. The guy I now see occasionally I was not wowed when I saw his face pic but nor was I thinking no definitely not.......it developed into something very sexual.

I will still always use the block button to stop conversational ping-pong with guys I have zero interest in. I have no other option to say a definitive no.

From experience a block stops the "but why" game when you do actually say no thanks!

Usually crumpled and torn, old tatty fivers that shops refuse to take, or sticky 2ps and 5ps we find on pub floors covered in fluff, which we then post to the site via the internet.

Good money is saved for cake and cat food.
