Can't see the point in this feature it's not like you gonna March upto perfect stranger's and say, hi is this you. a bit creepy.

And very slightly stalkerish?

Or harmless fun and a good guessing game??

Apparently people who prefer last minute meets have used the feature successfully.

Not for me, but then I haven't had a new meet this year!

It's just made me think we are asking for too much.

Loads within a mile initially, but then click on the 'those nearby that match your preferences' bit and boom ... watch them drop away

I'm laid here, day off work feeling horny as fook.

Look on who's near, messsage someone who's not going to take too long to get to mine and ask him if he wants to come over NOW!!

Not that I've ever done that . But you get it don't you

I've had that same pang of disappointment - but it makes me wonder why the 'who's near' function works that way.. Surely it'd be more user-friendly if it defaulted to the 'who's near who matches your preferences' setting, rather than having to go to it, then click again to see the pitiful few who do 'fit'?

I just assumed it was a stalking feature akin to the proximity meter in the Aliens film.

We get quite a bit of mail from people using this feature. I suspect it's because I (Mr P) am having a rank outside their hotel. It's quite scary how close I am to those mailing me.

Lots of phallic imagery comes to mind in the design of those Aliens/Facehuggers so you arent far off with that analogy.

In fact I just got one right now. So it works quite well.

Yes, I received what I perceived as a creepy message along the lines....

Oh I see I am within a mile of you, how horny does that make you feel (or something similar)

I just thought STALKER and ignored!

Sounds very sensible to me!It is quite easy to disable the function
