FabSwingers.com forum: Looking back...

I remember the times when forums were lighthearted, humorous places where people could laugh. Very few people got banned, blocked, berated and it was so good.

Serious topics were discussed as was run of the mill stuff. And all was well.

Over the past few days hostility, anger, bigotory have all been here and it's saddening.

What has happened dear forumites? I'm not looking for a mass love in (although that might be nice) but can we have our forums back to the way they were. Even for a little while.

i just refuse to sit on the fence, if i see something im not happy with or dont like the way someone has spoken to another i will voice my opinion. It may come across that im perhaps a tad harsh but id rather have a voice and stand up for my own beliefs than be ignorant to rudeness

I've only been on the site a couple of weeks so I don't know how things used to be but I always check out new posts in the forum n always see someone being shot down in flames. It's enough to make you not want to join in on topics or write posts.

Before joining I thought most swingers were layed back and open minded but after reading some comments on here I now think a little differently.

Glad to see others are still up for a bit of banter though

I see it and 9 times out of 10 same ones doing it . Have to be right and cant be wrong and at times need others to back up, lol I like seeing different view here but I will stand my ground if I think I am right .

7/ 8 years ago the sites was really bad I come to fab from other sites and found it a lot better here and felt safer .. as we have mods and new who they was .. its when you get people grouping together having a go its not nice .

I like a mass debate but I have been avoiding anything contentious looking for the last little while. It makes it less interesting which means I spend less time on here.

Groups go through the forming, storming, norming and performing stages and the forum gets like that as new people join and new groups are created (even if just for a day). It's all one cycle and if you time it right you can jump in for the good bits.

Seriously a lot of the people that were here when I joined have left.

Now it's different, it's got really political, it's got very serious now.

It's nothing like it was.

I've not been here that long, but quite frankly I'm getting fucking bored.

Most the posters who used to post hardly post now.

Fab has had a lot of publicity in the papers hence the insurgence/creation of really weird topics in the forums.

The forums are defo different now.

There are some really strange people here now.

I keep in touch with a lot outside of fab anyway, nearly everyone in my friends list I actually know/met..apart from one or two recently added.
