The AFP News Agency reprts today:-

"An Australian man took a gleaming Ferrari for a dawn joyride Friday after mistakenly being handed the keys by a casino valet.

"It has happened in the past from time to time that people lose their tickets, and in these circumstances we ask for proof of identification and a valid driver's licence," said casino spokesman Gary O'Neill.

"Those procedures were followed on this occasion."

It took police six hours to find the high-performance vehicle at a suburban service station. A 32-year-old man was arrested at the scene and charged with theft."
