We have been activly swinging for a few months now and absolutly love it...we have recieved a few party invites but the truth be told one of us would love to attend one and the other is terrified so therefore we havent accepted the invites

i think the trouble is that we are worried about the whole situation...will we click with the other ppl ect...will there be attraction...that sort of thing

we understand that theres no pressure to play with anyone at a party but was wondering if you can still click with ppl the same as a cpl to cpl meet

yeah i have done a few parties ...some good some bad ....not bad cus of the party as such ...just no rapor with anyone there ....and its no ones fault ...but as you say there is no pressure and always an opportunity to slip away .

but they can be loads of fun and it cuts through all that email traffic wonderfully ....go for it

If it makes you feel better, then I think that probably 95% of people have felt like that especially when going to a party or even a club for the 1st time, I remember almost walking straight out of the 1st club I went to...

I don't think there is any different in the fact that a lot of people still like to socialise a bit before they play,

Just bite the bullet and go.... i am sure as soon as you both walk thru the door the nerves will go and you'll have a blast....

i think we will eventually we have actually been invited to a party with a couple we have met before ..think that would be abit easier anyway...at least we know we like them lol

Its the best way to get to know new people and you will find that you will click more when there is a crowd. We party regulary its a different night out to the clubs

To make life easier we attended our first with people we knew... were hardly ravers now mind and still prefer to go with people we know.

Thing is.. nothing can happen your not happy with.. and you may just be surprised how much fun you have even if NOTHING happens guys.

yea notts understand where u are coming from but i would be mortified if someone i didnt want to play with actually tried it on ...i think im to polite lol

It can and does happen yes... There is always a way to say no though... I find it quite easy saying no thanks, Mrs Notts finds it harder.. but there is no way in a million years she'd just do one for the boys.. (sadly at times pmsl) but if we both don't click.. then we don't with either... some parties are more a mix and match though.. something were just not into yet.. hence why we avoid the 'bigger' parties..

well we have been talking and came up with the conclusion that we would attend a party if we had already met everyone there.....i know it defeats the object of a party so i suppose our issue is actually meeting new ppl in that sort of environment lol

whats the worst that can happen by attending ?

you may meet some lovely people and extend your social group,

Everyone at the party would have at sometime been new to it all so will understand where your comming from re nerves.

OK so they may not all be your "sexual" cup of tea but then that happens in the clubs also

be brave....go and enjoy yourself.

then come on here and tell us all about it.

as a single male i was invited to a party, my first and i was bricking it,i did not know any one there, but I was met at the door by the hostes who gave me a kiss and took me in to the room and introdused me after that every one just chatted for an hour then we all got changed for the hot tub. next thing i had two ladies one ether side playing with me so i played with them and the night just got better.

Always remember the lady is in charge and you say who you play with . so get your self there and have fun

I havent been to a party in many years but the same applies be it back in my haydays or now.

We went to one party where we knew all the couples there in advance and everything was great. Then a few weeks ago we went to another where we didn't know anyone. We felt like a pair of lemons in the corner, but after a few drinks we got chatting to various people and ended up having a great time ... our preference is to get to know people a bit before meeting as we have found it works for us, if people don't want that then fine, their not for us lol .... but having tried the party thing where they were total strangers we have to admit we enjoyed that too

We went to our first party after only having swung once before. We didnt know anyone there, and were very nervous, but also very excited. Luckily the cpl hosting the party were very very nice, made us feel very welcome, and in fact we were the first to start to play lol. I guess knowing that you can walk away at any time, or just sit and chat, made it easier for us, but we would recommend you give it a go.
