I have mine pierced, it was done about 10 years ago. I am just so used to it that I don't pay any notice to it. I never change the jewellery. I saved for a solid 18 carat gold and diamond body bar and just leave that in

I'm the same with my hood bar. It's just there.

I used to have my belly done, but it got irritated by the trousers I had to wear for work, so it had to come out. Tempted to try again though since I lost weight.

I think you should, if its something.g you want. You can have a small discreet piece of jewellery In if you don't want anything too big

Go for it. My mother was in her 50's when she had her first tattoo.

I had mine done 17 years ago (I was 15) and the only time I've taken it out was during my 3 pregnancies, it will be going back in in a couple of weeks

Somewhere in North Norfolk

My mum has been telling me she's too old for things since her 40's.

Not I'm in my 40's she says "Don't be silly, you're still young" at the suggestion I might be too old for something.

Do what you want to. In general, you're only too old for something if your age is physically preventing you from doing it.

As I said I think I might, I'm not too bothered by what other people think usually but I wondered if I might feel awkward when I went to the piercing place.

"Who has theirs done..ladies?

I'm really impressed by your local studio that they have given you professional advice and didn't just pierce you to take your money.

A grown out belly button piercing is not nice as it won't be straight, you'll have a scar where the piercing has been rejected from the body going from the original piercing site and when you take it out, you'll forever have a skin tunnel which will need cleaning out of dead skin crud. It will never heal properly.

I wish I had never had mine done. The belly button is the most likely to reject because of how clothes sit over it and how it's pushed when you sit down.

I would consider asking the studio for advice on what other piercings they would recommend for you. Don't just go to another one as they will just pierce you for the money regardless of the high risk of the piercing growing out unless they're as professional as the first studio you went to.

"Do you think all piercings or tattoos 'Jeremy Kyle', whatever that means"

Depends on that tattoo or piercing.

Tribal, someone's name (an ex or a childs name)

Eyebrow piercing, upper lip piercing.

Those are what I class as chavy.
