What kind of eBay-er are you? Do you decide on a max bid early on and stick to it?? Or put little increases on now and then?

Or wait till the last 5 seconds and chick your bid on and hope for the best??

I'm waiting on a dress for the social it finishes tomorrow and I haven't decided how much I'm prepared to pay for it yet!!

My Ex wife once brought a plate with the beatles on the front . She asked me to sell it on ebay . I put it on and went to work . She text me and said I have bid £ 20 . I said why are you bidding ? She said to bump the price up .. There was no more bids . She bought her own bleeding plate

Tip for u on ebay. Never bid a round figure like 5.00 or 5.50. always do a 5.08 or something. Most ppl will bid in whole pounds.

Happy bidding

Outskirts of Notts

I've found there are no bargains ( very few anyway ) on ebay so I bid less than it would cost in the shops and stick with it .

Truro

Rarely bid last few minutes unless I don't see it until it's nearly finished.

I'm quite strict with myself, I'll always put the max I'm prepared to go to in straight away, then wait and see how it goes.

I will "buy it now" if I think it's a good deal.

Always set myself a price inc postage. I rarely spend over a tenner. Fifteen if I'm splashing out !

I recently bought my son 5 pairs adult bench jeans for £16!!

Great Wyrley

I'm watching 3 auctions at the mo.

I normally put my max bid in at about 30 seconds to go. By the time the others have tried to rebid its usually won the auction for me.

Point Nemo, Cumbria

I research my prices, set my maximum (plus something like 51p to edge out any likely similar bids) and hit the send button two or three seconds before the end to prevent any following counterbids.

Works well for me.

Will admit i've never ever used ebay.

Still a bit old fashioned and prefer the old go out the house to a shop and buy stuff routine.

I put my max bid in with 30 seconds to go so if I am outbid I don't have time to get into a bidding war. Best buy is a pierre cardin suit, brand new for a tenner and lacuzzo leather sneakers for a fiver. Oh andYSL jeans for £8. All brand new with tags

I'm a sniper too. My Ebay app on my phone goes off when there is 10 minutes left so I know when to go in.

I look and look and look and then forget to bid. Never sure why but i don't at least buy something I wanted but didn't really need.

I just add things to 'his' watching list . Just for the sake of it . . Handbags, shoes, clothes, cars . . I know he checks it via mobile too, so when I first did it, took him awhile to work out what was going on

I used to snipe but ive found that bargains nowadays are more difficult to find and items are overpriced.

Nowadays I put the max price and stick with that. The majority of the items I buy are the 'buy it now' ones

Put on a max bid, but prepared to put in 5 second bid if I really want the item.
