Today is the first day in 15 months that I'm not going to be in a temporary menopause, I'm going to be hormonal again. So please could someone provide my beloved with a helmet in case I'm ratty.

Oh and does anyone fancy holding my hand through a really scary scan??

Thank you. I'm rather bricking it. I hate having to have scans and for this one they're sending Little Miss Barren to the Ante Natal Dept! Definitely scoring points on the insensitivity scale there!!

I genuinely think its a clerical error, but I'll see what my consultant says about it when I see him. He put in a complaint when they put gynae outpatients next to the post natal ward. The initial entrance door is the same one!!

That's extremely insensitive!! I wonder about these places sometimes. I'm totally hopeless with anything medical. I have a blood test evety couple of months and thats bad enough. Good luck and hope it'll all go smoothly for you.

They have both wards on the same floor in our local hospital too. Extremely insensitive!!

Somewhere in North Norfolk

Hormones can be evil things.

I hope your scan goes well. I'll be thinking of you.

Good luck, hope everything goes well!

These hospitals are unbelievably insensitive. Our infertility and early pregnancy unit (where your taken for a miscarriage) is right next to the unit that deals with mothers who have drink and drug habits. After losing my baby I had to come out the same door all the junkies were standing beside. I actually saw heavily pregnant women procuring drugs and drinking tins of special brew.

Surely the layout of these hospitals are planned by heartless and brainless idiots!

Xxxx

The land of grey peas and bacon

I think some are put together as they share scan equipment that has a variety of uses plus easier for doctors to get to each place...while distressing I don't think it's something that they intentionally do... Good luck with scan

The mind does boggle sometimes. It makes me remember when I was in hospital having mine. In the bed opposite was a poor lady miscarrying triplets. She always had the curtain around her and all you could hear every minute was sobbing. I felt so bad for her.

Unfortunately, I think that women's medicine is still all lumped together as "women's" medicine.

Big cuddles rubes. Extending hand to hold for you to hold.

Try evening primrose oil for hormonal symptoms.

That beggars belief! The poor woman, and also quite traumatic for all the new mums on the ward!

Best news possible with the scan, I hid in an alcove and did my crochet whilst waiting!

I'm off to the hospital in 6 weeks to see my specialist again.

I should imagine it's just because they use the same ultrasound machines.
