Only if you looked down on others who didn't meet your exacting standards, I guess.

I always felt that I was not a snob, but I feel that I look down on parents who hit or shout abuse at their kids. It's an acceptable disapproval, and I do step in and tell them how wrong they are sometimes - though I can get a mouthful back.

Not at all. I'd much rather visit a nice, clean tidy home than something looking like a doss house

I wouldn't say I'm snobby, I have,standards and morals, I wouldn't like to think I'm better than anyone else.

Snobs to me are people looking down at the less fortunate.

Firstly does vain/snob and shallow mean the same thing? What's the difference between them?

I always thought I am not a snob, but apparently I am where it. "matters"

"The tramps next door have called me a snob before. Apparently if you take a pride in your garden, then you are one. "

It brings me to the conclusion that jealousy and the use of the word are interconnected as taking pride in your garden isn't being a snob in my books.

That's good sense, not snobbery then.

Choosing something for a brand name when a cheaper alternative is as good is one thing. Choosing a branded product because it suits you better is just common sense.

I'm a bit of an education snob but I'm proud of what I achieved and of my academic and cognitive ability. I worked for it though and continue to do so.

I have high standards and I appreciate quality but I wouldn't say I'm snobby about much else.

I'm too broke to be snobby!

some would say being a snob is just having standards, but like most things there is a line that when crossed our standards make us a dickhead lol
