"I don't even understand what it is to be fair... " its the period between Ash Wednesday (the day after pancake day or Shrove Tuesday) and Easter. It commemorates the 40 days that Jesus spent fasting in the desert and people often give something up during that time to bring themselves closer to their spiritual beliefs. | |||
