Titz Towers, North Notts

I'm glad it's over as a few of my friends have been doing it and telling the world on facebook all about it. Every day.

If you believe in Jesus. Then you also believe he sacrificed his life for us. This is why people sacrifice things in life as a form of respect (think respect is the word I want there, lol). To show their appreciation. This is what is known as "lent".

I am not religious either. I just know the odd story about sole religions.

Not soul religions?

I've seen people moaning about giving up chocolate which is a bit pathetic really.

Our youngest said he'd decided to give up giving up stuff.

Well I just believe everyone should believe what they want. Who am I or for anyone else for that matter to say what's right and what's wrong? This applies to everything.

I like what your youngest said though, may use that, lol.

its the period between Ash Wednesday (the day after pancake day or Shrove Tuesday) and Easter. It commemorates the 40 days that Jesus spent fasting in the desert and people often give something up during that time to bring themselves closer to their spiritual beliefs.
