little house on the praire

Now as most will no i would be the first to address homosexuality and i think the storyline in emmerdale at the moment is brilliant. But do you think there is to much pc about homosexuality. Every soap opera has at least one if not two homosexuality storylines going. It just seems that some of them are just doing it because its the right thing todo. As i said some of the storylines are brilliant and if it helps young gay people all the better

I used to b a big fan of queer as folk (long overdue a re-run)...now that was sexy as feck! I have a lot, a lot of gay friends and they loved what that promoted. Sadly, we seem to have gone backwards since then and have reverted to the days of colin and barry the barrowboy (you areprobably all too young to remember!)

I don't understand why these soaps have to have a token gay couple in them. In my day to day life I have never had contact with gay people and they aren't a part of my social circle. If the media wish to highlight gay lifestyles why not create a gay soap series centred on the gay community, their concerns and social issues.

Don't do it just to be seen to be PC though.

thonk you are right in that if it helps those who are struggling to deal with the emotions and everything surrounding 'coming out' etc then i think that homosexual story lines are great but they have to be done right

i like the Sayed/Christian story line as it addressed both homosexual issues and religion ones
