Yes he shot her but whether it was intentionally is a different matter ... who knows whether the real truth will come out ... and who will be able to tell?

The prosecution is trying to prove intent. Personally, I really do wonder why she locked the door when it was just the two of them in the house.

I read a bit this evening about it.

Today he was cross examined by the prosecution.:

Gerry Nel (prosecutor) aske him:

"Why did Reeva not put a light on?"

Pistorious:

"I assumed that she put her mobile phone on and used the light in that"

Now I'm not a judge..but that is seriously suspicious to me.

You've just heard someone shout followed by loud bangs, if it was me the first thing I'd do is put a light on and not reach for my phone and use the fookin built in light on it...

the guy killed her in a rage or whatever and shot her.

His excuse the whole trial is that he thought Reeva was still in bed.

Now seriously, let's not be silly about this...

..but you KNOW if you're partner is in bed or not?...

They changed the law in SA that allowed you to shoot someone indoors. It meant they shot people in the garden and dragged them in.

Why did Oscar not check that Reeva was indded in bed?..

Now seriously, if i believed a loved one of mine was in bed with me, the first impulse reaction for me (if I truly believed there was an intruder in my house) would be to reach over and check she was in bed BEFORE reaching for a gun (which I will disclaim that I do NOT own a gun) or at the very LEAST "pat" the bed next to me to confirm she was in fact IN THE BED...

I do my best to keep an open mind, especially when relying on the media to choose what is and isn't presented and what slant it is given. But in this case I am really struggling to move away from 'guilty as fuck'.

I do like the idea of a media circus. Jeremy paxman as the ring master and the busty weather person doing incredibly rude things as she shoots things from down below. I guess the politicians could all play clowns, but that just seems undignified for such worthy people

If he wasn't a household name, this would have gone no further than the local press in SA.

Total media circus built on his celebrity.

For me, guilty of manslaughter at the very least, but as others have said, only time will tell which way the axe falls.

This ^^ is what I don't understand ~ your instinct alone would be to check that she was next to you.

Also from speaking with a SA colleague most people have a plan of action of what to do as a family / couple should an intruder break in as it is a threat they live with & take seriously.

He is white, rich and as I said at the outset I strongly suspect that whether he is guilty or not, I fully expect an acquital.

His performance on the stand today and over previous days has shown several inconsistencies in his evidence and his account of the evening and for what its worth I think he is a murderer.
