My sister picks up the keys to her new house today. For the last 9 years her and her family have lived at the end of my street (well we've live close all our lived but when she and her son moved out it was only down the road lol).

It has been so lovely living so close. Getting phone calls from my nephew asking if he could come down etc

Whilst I am sad that they will no longer be so close I am also very happy for them to be moving into a wonderful home that has the space they need to bring their children up and do all the things they want. They are staying in the area so I can pop round easily and she can feed me lol

I live close to one brother and a sister, the others live a distance. I love when people just turn up on the whole. Always loved the long journey home especially when you have gifts. But I love the fact of having family close too, best of both worlds for me

My sister also lives in my road . I know that soon one or both of us will move & it won't be the same.

Wishing your sister & nephew all the best for moving day. New home , new start is always exciting.

I believe that me and my sister would be a lot closer as sisters if we lived near each other. I miss the bond we has as kids. I also think it's down to we are totally different people with different lives.
