A lot of people say they get nerves before/during a meet and there was even one example mentioned that a guy couldn't get it up and now he is suffering from it. So my question is for the people who get nervous. How do you beat those nerves and for the ones who don't get nervous. What do you if you sense your meet is nervous?

If they are nervous, I start a small comedy routine until they get that irritated they get their bits out and put them in my mouth just to shut me up

I don't get nervous and I'll tell you why..

I know EXACTLY what to expect when I get there be it social or otherwise and that by the time it DOES get to the meet I'd have built up enough dialogue already via on going chat with her/them, that by the time I get there I'm bang up for it.

I have dreadful nerves. But all but one person couldn't tell, I hide it well.

The one time when the guy was more nervous than me...... that took quite a while to overcome. Eventually I stopped shaking, he didn't.

Just get on with it and do it. If you think about something, that is what can lead to being nervous but if you just preoccupy yourself and just jump in, you don't really have time to build it up.

I'm rarely nervous in the 'real world' but get nervous even before a social meet... But once in their company my constant rambling soon takes over the initial nerves! Don't last long..

Yes, I'm like that, I get excited but not really nervous most of the time. I find an embrace and a kiss usually settle nerves well if my meet seems to be so.

Not sure about leagues, sounds hideous to put people in leagues. For me the absolute worst nerves were with a very ordinary looking fella (I cringe saying that because it sounds disparaging and it's not meant to be, he was beautiful to me)

I fancied him so much as a person I was terrified to meet him and him not have a good time. I remember sitting in the pub saying to him 'am I what you hoped?'

My nerves were massively overshadowed by his in the end.

I'd love to turn the nerves off but it's built-in and hard to beat.

Take the hubby out of it and I can safely say he's the lucky one. Ignore what men think of your looks for a second. You are patient with his nerves. People would love that

I get excited, occasionally a bit nervous, though this is affected when I have a lot of other stuff going on, so kind of bleeds into my baseline state. Easiest thing I find is just to breathe well, maybe some quick meditation, to sort it out. If a meet is nervous, then I focus on keeping myself relaxed, as thats a good grounding state for them. I am fairly patient, so someone would have to suffer for a long time, to deter me. It ultimately is their responsibility to manage themselves, and Id hope I can choose someone who is inspired and self aware enough to manage this. Mostly we are meeting to get sexual satisfaction and to please our partners, so Id expect someone to be thinking of me, and sort themselves out.

It's like anything else really, like a first date, a job interview etc. You get pre-match nerves, just man up and go do it, it's never as bad as you imagine and you usually begin to relax.

One thing I've learnt, it's fairly futile telling people not to be nervous.

I can't prevent it.

I can speak to hundreds of people at once with great confidence which others are often very nervous of, it seems a common source of nerves but I don't have them in this scenario.

It's never stopped me meeting though and never will, but I allow for nerves, we're only human. It's also never marred the enjoyment.

yeah I always get the ol' nerves too, can't really think why, though, especially as it's for something I've actively tried to arrange hehe. oddest thing though, for me nerves are at their worst when I first catch sight of where I'm meeting.. and then they sort of fade away (thank gawd) as I'm walking towards wherever it is.

I've just learned to expect em and is just part of the show..

I always get some pre meet nerves....the more I've talked to the person beforehand though the less they seem to be

The nerves dissapear the next time I meet them so its always good for me to meet the same person multiple times

The more new meets I have the less the nerves seem to be too but they haven't gone yet by any stretch of the imagination and I hope they don't....I find it all part of the fun

I was nervous once for a social meet. He was too. We almost talked ourselves out of meeting: never experienced anything like it!

It dawned on me I really liked him and wanted him to like me too. He felt the same...he's moved in!
