Ladies if you meet up with a guy for the first time and he doesn't offer to buy you a drink.. Do you walk away or stay and see how it goes?

I wouldn't be amused. I'm all for sharing but guess I'm old fashioned expecting the guy to get the first drink in

In fact I'd be seathing and would find it difficult to be pleasant. Someone did it to a friend of mine and I still dislike the guy

If its a fab meet - I buy my own. Equality and all that... if its a date, I'd expect him to offer, but I'd also offer back.

I would buy the first drink. I always do unless the man goes into a paddy about it. I would buy a couple more after too if I wanted more

I prefer to get my own, but then I always offer to get them one, too

Lol. Well I wouldn't dream of not buying the first drink but if the woman insists on paying for her own I wouldn't argue either. Equality is also important. However there's nowt wrong with a bit of old fashioned chivalry from time to time

You take it in turns to buy a drink. Where we come from it's called rounds. It doesn't matter who gets the first round in but all should take it in turns to buy a round. If it's time to leave before all has got a round it doesn't matter, no big deal. People who have soft drinks can be omitted from buying a round if they are on driving duties.

"In fact I'd be seathing and would find it difficult to be pleasant. Someone did it to a friend of mine and I still dislike the guy

"

When I mentioned to a charmer buying his own drink without offering me one was poor form he retorted: "this ain't a date love!"

Needless to say I didn't sit down.

If you're coming to my home, sleeping in my bed, drinking my coffee, using my shower yet buying half a Peroni is seen as a date...bye!

That is very poor form. Date or not if you are in company and you go to the bar all in your company should be asked if they want one.

That's how I saw it. If I'd got to the bar first I'd have asked "what you having?" Common courtesy!

If I'm meeting in a bar and got there first I would text and ask what he wanted and have it waiting for him

Sorry, I wouldn't drink anything I hadn't seen opened or poured in front of me. Maybe I am over cautious, but have had friends who have had drinks spiked. I'd rather buy my own, or buy a round when we are both there.

I'd always buy the first drink then go from there. Usually I end up getting a couple more, I like to be the gentleman generally, in a very non-flash way
