This is not a joke.

But seriously, basically the Internet was security breached.

Almost ALL sites that require secure login via SSL encryption was majorly compromised (read that as HACKED).

It would be a good idea to CHANGE all your passwords that is things like:

Facebook

Paypal

Online Banking

or virtually any web APP that uses secure SSL.

^things like that, as all those sites use the https:// protocol (SSL) when you log in.

If you think I'm joking Google:

"Open SSl Heartbleed"

The advice I have received is

"Get a new password ready.

If you receive communications from any of your service providers telling you that their systems are secure, this is the best time to change your password.

Changing your password before a system is secure could actually make your new password easier to intercept"

This came from lookout, who provide the security system for my android phone.

I should add, that if any of you run Websites, I would change your CPanel passwords too.

Don't rely on your host, although they should have already taken steps, but like I say, do it yourself too.

The major thing to change is things like paypal and Banking.

Your bank should have taken this into account too, but I'm just throwing the warning out there, I've put this on my facebook wall too.

Very serious shit people.

I thought this happened about 3 days ago and the advise then was not to react as there was no evidence of any breach
