why do people block you when you message them ? if you respect what they are looking for I am still confused to the logic of this, I am not offended when people say no thanks that's just life.

It stops you from wasting your time messaging them more than once and is not considered rude on the context of the site. This is a question often asked and the best way to view blocking is to accept that it happens and not take it as a personal insult, the person blocking you is unknown to you and a stranger from the internet.

Because it protects them from any further interactions and particularly nasty and abusive comments. It makes sense to me.

Not everyone is polite sometimes its easier to block than be pestered for saying no thanks or abused for it.

I used to block after messages back and forth confirmed we were not compatible. Then so many people whining about it on forums that I stopped. Now I have started blocking again because the same people contact you as they forget the past messages. It's nothing personal.

Central

It's largely become a norm on fab, more so than on other sites that I've used. You can take it as respectful as being given a 'no thanks', if you perceive it as an unspoken one, and also because they are not supporting you to waste any more time on them etc.

In the disney world that my head may sometimes occupy, we'd all live in the same bright, sunny village, speak to each other, at least to say 'hello', and we'd be ever so polite with our declining of any attention that's not mutually held. Single ladies and couples would also only receive equal volumes of attention from other users, and so would not find the task of easy and free communication to be daunting.

In the non-disney fab world, people can get rather awful abuse from others, stalked as well as outed as swingers to their neighbours, work and family. Some inboxes also get massive amounts of messages, so it can become a time-saver just to hit delete.

The other thing to bear in mind is that you may meet the same people in a club and hit it off, as 2 dimensional photos and profiles often don't do people justice. It may not be about you, but rather how that person is feeling today, what their needs are right now as well as any recent negative experiences that they or their friends may have had that influence their clicking of 'block'.

Don't take things personally, keep things light and move swiftly on, as well as use other environments to meet swingers.

maybe because theyve decided for whatever reason that they are not compatible with you ...saves everyone time ping ponging messages back and forth

People block for all sorts of reasons, reasons you'll never know so why worry about it? Just move on and enjoy the site.

Example:

Hey, you look sexy, love your pics. Wanna chat?

No thank you.

Aw come on, I'm really horny - what you into?

I said no thanks and what I'm into is on my profile.

Wow, just read it. You sound really cool.

It was a no thanks. Please stop messaging me.

Fucking snooty fat cow. You're up your arse. Get over yourself love.

*this is entirely fictional but similar to 'chats' I have had.

Therefore, many people just block if they have no interest.

It is not a crime.

It is not rude.

It is not against site rules.

It is their choice.

Why do you continue to reply after you've said your initial "no thank you"? I never reply again after that. There's nothing else to say.

Sometimes they reply "thanks for letting me know". Sometimes they say "why not?" but I never respond to that. Possibly why I don't get the mail chain of abuse that some do.

Same here. Once I've said no thanks I don't reply to any further messages. I never get abusive messages either.

I did say 'have had' - past tense. It was when I was a newbie. Not anymore.

Because they aren't interested and don't wish to discuss it further.

You may think you match what they are looking for but perhaps they don't agree.
