Meets and nerves.

It may seem obvious to say that everyone or a lot of people gets nervous on their first meet, but I was wondering:

1. Why are you nervous? What's your biggest fear?

2. Is each meet completely different or are there similarities. So you feel less nervous?

3. At what point do those nerves disappear whilst on the meet? Is it after chatting for a certain amount of time, when you kiss or when you get a laugh out of them?

Im lucky I don't get nervous but I guess I go with no preconceived ideas, expectations or hopes other than to get on with someone. I do though tend to chat for a bit on the phone well before meeting and so have a rapore established when I do meet in person.

I actually wasn't nervous on my first meet which surprised me.

I was my typical cheeky self.

I'd say there's probably (I haven't met up yet but can sense this) a fear of rejection. We are certainly, in at least one sense, a more liberated group of individuals, but ultimately we do fall prey to our innate insecurities. We're scared that we may not get on with the other party, that we may not be able to perform, or that they may not particularly like the way we look or something we do.

Too complicated - you need to simplify the questions.
