Why do I get nervous?

I'm a sales manager, meet loads of people on a daily basis! Used to doing sales presentations in front if hundreds of directors and buyers! But I'm as nervous as hell about meeting a lady for a social meet on Friday?? Any doctors here can explain to me and possibly give me some medication for the nerves.

Aw I think that's sweet - it's 'cos it's personal, and you care!! Good luck!

Nerves are a good thing, it's all part of the fun.

You wouldn't want it to just be routine would you?

Have a read of Diamondsmiles thread yesterday on nerves. You'll realise you are not alone and if anything she'll be even more nervous than you. I think the nervous excitement is all part of the fun of meeting. Enjoy the anticipation

Read the other recent thread about nerves.

Might make you feel better to know you're not alone.

I regularly do 3 hour presentations to a large lecture hall of strangers, no notes, no death by powerpoint, just ad-hoc from memory, doesn't phase me one bit but other people say they'd be terrified.

Arrange a meet and I fall apart. Good to be outside your comfort zone though sometimes.
