Does anyone know the quickest way to get a qualification in CF6? Basically it's an exam that people in banks/finance use to get far in their career.

Can't you just tell them you usually play The Banker when you play Monopoly? Surely it must count for something.

Don't tell them that you cheat by giving yourself more money than you should... Let's face it we've all done it

Probably easier to just do the qualification than becoming a free mason lol

Well I wasn't sure if you go on a course for a certain amount of time and then pass a test/exam or even a series of exams? Or can you treat it like a driving test or even learning an instrument. You get all the necessary mock tests and when you think you are ready, book yourself in.

Well, actually, it may be a bonus in a banker.

Thinking on, arrange for the interview to take place during the afternoon and have a friend call half way through.

You answer the phone, 'Tell her she is playing a good game and is a pugilist. I salute her bravery and will offer £5,000'

Hey presto, instant kudos and they'll offer you the job. Just don't put your name on the application, instead write, 'as himself'

i really am not sure, looking online it looks like a qualification best undertaken when working in the industry unless you are looking to start your own mortgage advice company.

A three year study course, cemap 1,2 and three... Then go for FSA...

If you're looking for shortcuts, you are looking in the wrong direction... Especially in the current economic climate...

The first para came from a websearch for the acronym, the second from a related blog...

30 seconds of research, whilst watching Two and a half men...

How much of a shortcut are you looking for...?

i would do some research first, speak to local mortgage advisors if possible. it may be that there are other options available to get your foot in the door. once in yo could be lucky and get your training paid for as part of your contract.

which is why you should look into the possibility of joining a company with a training scheme.

My sister is a qualified accountant and did all her training on the job

For some reason I can't seem to pass the interview stage when applying for work. So thought if I added that to my cv. I will either get something high up or even just a "basic" job within the firm. Plus it shows initiative too.

To be honest I wasn't sure. I just looked at a mortgage advisors job role and they said you needed that or a ce11 (or something like that) or the equivalent. Didn't look what they were exactly.

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

Even without checking your profile I thought this sounded like a Crazed post.

Professional qualifications generally need a fair amount of time, commitment and planning to finance them. I wouldn't want a mortgage adviser giving me financial advice who did their exams in their lunchtime without any study.

You need to think about what you really want to do (other than just leave your job) and plan for it. Fab is great but it won't get you a qualification or a job.

Make the country bankrupt? Surely, that must be a sure way of getting the qualification.
