Well now that all depends on whether you have had a CBX 1000 or a KH 750 which I have and fall into neither category.

May I therefore suggest a Norton NRS588

Love the Ducati V twins, but stuck with a suzuki inline 4.

To throw a spanner in the works the V4 engine is a nice one, so smooth as well.

Only heard one wankel engine and the was a norton F1 in a fireblade frame, nice sound.

The Norton I rode round the I.O.M. wasn't mine, but it pulled pretty well and the torque was quite impressive to say the least

Used to love ma twin cylinder 2 strokes though to have a play with, RD 400's were awesome

I had an old RD400DX, it was a bit of a frankenstein bike. It did make laugh I rode it though, only downside was it rattled itself to bits if were not too carefull.

Can't beat a big throbbing single cylinder like the Honda NX650 Dominator but for sake of upsetting everyone ill say the V twin in something like the Honda Xrv 750 Africa Twin a go anywhere bike for those with a spirit of Adventure.

I stripped down and rebuilt every bike I ever bought. Ma Beckett tuned RD400E was quicker than ma Z750 round the IOM

Ater being on honda 4's for most of my road bike riding,I now own a ktm 990smt,and absolutely adore the twins now,roll on/off is much better and engine braking.

Did take a bit of getting used to however,was like riding with kangaroo juice at first lol

Sooooo right!!!!!! Sporty and a Road King but the Sporty is more fun - engine bolted dtraight to frame so vibration is IMMENSE!

I thought the Africa twin was a parallel not a v twin?

in line 1100 & 600 (CBRs)

single cylinder 125

used to have 1100 V4 that sounded more like a V8 if you ran it with everything from the collector box back removed

Straight fours are ok, but so bland after a few hours.

For me, it's always a V-twin, especially if I've got long runs of more than 24 hours in the saddle...

Long-legged and easy to live with..!

V twin man here, currently 2 Aprilia RSVR, had 1 for the road and 1 for the track, track bike is currently being reborn as a streetfighter/cafe racer and being put back on the road

And a vtwin but a streetfighter. Maybe an old 748 and cut it down. Sv would be cool but not a massive fan of the look.

Really want to build a streetfighter or maybe a Caffè racer (would want to try a boxer engine for that though) but sadly funds don't allow atm.
