Great Wyrley

High sugar drinks.

The hangover is from the dehydration and sudden loss of sugar following the drink binge.

replacing the fluids and sugar in the bloodstream lessons the hangover.

failing that a good fry up and a good hungover dose of sex and a good snooze

Wellingborough

A hangover is caused by the overloading of the acetaldehyde dehydrogenase reaction which converts alcohol to acetaldehyde, and then to acetic acid.

Acetaldehyde is more toxic than alcohol and results in the increased pulse and respiratory rate, sweating, abdominal cramps, hot and cold flushes, nausea and malaise.

You can buy some time by hitting the metabolic pathway with a little more alcohol e.g. a Bloody Mary, and then aim for lots of fluid, sugar, calories (the cooked Full English) and treatment of symptoms with Paracetamol or Ibuprofen.

If you have access to an O2 cylinder, then a few minutes on oxygen, also helps.

If you can stomach it then a full english breakfast, if not then a couple of paracetamol with a pint of fresh orange juice and back to bed to sleep it off.

I have found in the past a cold shower also helps, will certainly wake you up if you feel sluggish, lol.

Drink lots of water before you go to sleep and you should wake up hangover free.

I go for two paracetamol, two ibuprofen, two red bulls, a whole carton of orange juice, and a massive breakfast.

not far from iceland,,,,,, tescos is nearer though :-) (near leeds)

If you have them take rehydration salt s, if you havent use fruit juice and water mixed about 50 50 I prefer pineapple juice, best suggestion make the hydration salts / juice before you go out and drink before bed that way you re rehydrating as you sleep, personally I stay away from fatty things,
