"I got advised by a dog trainer to use ariel washing powder diluted in warm water worked for me " This works. As does putting bicarb in your mopping water to neutralize the smell of pee. You can add a little to their drinking water to help with this but I'm not sure the amounts for a puppy.

"I have a 9 month old boxer staffy cross. Shes abig lump of a dog, really bad chewer and still has a poo in the living room through the night any ideas" I'm guessing that she's punishing you for leaving her, even though it's night-time. It won't matter how long or when you take her out she'll probably still do it. It's a confidence thing which she will probably grow out of. I had the same problem with a rescue dog I had. I wore an old jumper for a couple of days then put it in his bed. He also had an old teddy to cuddle (he ripped two apart before he cuddled up to one!!). The other options are to put her bed in your bedroom and let her sleep there. If that doesn't suit, try a cage as for puppy training. Big enough for a bed in one side and a couple of puppypads in the other side. It keeps the mess in one place, saves the carpets and is much easier to clean up. A cage also works as a "safe haven" - my dog goes into his when he wants some peace and quiet. Its never been used as a punishment, it's his happy place. Vixen

Get rid of the animals | |||
