Before anyone else posts a topic on their favourite cheese or the merits of toasting I was wondering which track, from which album makes your hair on the back of your neck stand up?

My step father got me into Pink Floyd and every now and then I drive somewhere quiet, partake in the herb and then let 'The Great Gig in the Sky' wash over me.

I actually did this a few days ago at a dogging spot that was rather quiet but when I turned the volume I realised I was drowning out the sound of a woman that was being heavily pumped a couple of cars away

'Woman in chains' by Tears for fears is another emotional song, and it sounds like Clare Torry from The great gig in the sky is doing the female vocals for it.

pink floyd has no age barriers.imho,dark side of the moon,is the greatest album ever made.ffs,i was only joking,about the imho bit.its definitely the best album.

Another song that makes my hair stand on end is Spandau Ballet - Through the Barricades.

Infact we have to skip forward a couple of decades to the Tall Paul remix of INXS 'Precious Heart'

Its more poignant because of the loss of Michael Hutchence

Ive actually found it on Youtube so turn the volume up and put the lights down low

Music plays a big part in my life and I have a record/tape/cd collection spanning just about everything from classical right through to thrash metal with bits of everything in between. There is masses of music that moves me or makes the hair on my neck stand.

Billy Joel's Piano Man is, for me, one of the best songs ever written and I never tire of hearing it

Django Reinhardt's Djangology is another one that makes my spine tingle

More recently Barb Jungr's music has been affecting me
