Gents do you take the blame

If you were out in company and your lady friend fluffed with devastating effect, would you:

1. Make a joke of it.

2. Pretend it never happened.

3. Take the blame... Have that one on me Mrs Pendlebury-Brown.

Or is there an alternative.

It would be dishonest to take the blame I would suggest she excused herself in a lady like manner and take to the ladies room as she obviously needed a shit.
