Another possibility is the battery is fried. You could test that out by going into a phone shop and asking if you could borrow a battery just to test the theory. | |||

"So, had my phone on charger noticed a message about overheating, picked the phone up to find it was red hot!" That's dangerous. If that's a known fault to them, then that's just asking for legal action. Especially if someones house burns down or some child gets hold of it.  | |||

"have you tried connecting said phone to a pc with a data cable.battery in and battery out just to see if you can recover some media off the phone. I have no idea if this is possible just something I would try before I take it back to the retailer." After my Windows phone crashed a couple of years ago I don't keep anything on my phone I rely on/ want. Only had the phone a few months so getting it repaired not a problem. | |||

I've checked online for solutions: nothing! So turning to the wise and wonderful (sniggers) for help!"Get a iphone I've never gone wrong with any Apple product in the past x | |||
