Im already about to let one German humiliate and dominate me and im a Mancunian.

bayern has stuffed pretty much every team they have played, for 2 years.

so have man city

so have liverpool

in fact, with the exception of ourselves (albion) and cardiff, almost every other team united have lost against have been decent opposition for other teams, so why should a team/club in transition destroy all before them?

chelseas team has had lots of money spent on it over the last few years, as has citys

united have stagnated for the past few seasons, albeit having money spent on 'possibilities for the future'.

Just to add yet more horror (until this weekend gone by which time they were already Deutsche Meister) Bayern would still have won the league with nobody in goal, that's how few shots on target there have been.

Couple that with our shoddy defence, mediocre goal tallies and lacklustre midfield and it all points to a drubbing.

Im hoping not, and hope is a beautiful thing.

just now, if a teams on a bad streak, all they can hope for is i=to come to the harwthorns.

if we let in 3 from cardiff, who were dead and buried, then how can we hope to stay up (that said, Zaha changed teh game, i dont know what moyes doesnt see in him. hope he gives him the chance next year. him and januzai on the flanks, mata in the middle with rooney up front, could be trully frightening,

I am a massive Man U fan, I do think they will get best tonight but you never know with utd! They might play out there skins because of nothing else to play for, Chelsea won it when they were having a bad year in prem! If they do get best I just hope they play with some pride and can leave with head held high!

I was very sad when Blackpool for relegated. Club and manager were like a breath of fresh air. All changed when Paul Ince got involved, he might have been man u but I detested his ego then and still do now.

Must admit I support every British team when playing in Europe apart from Man Utd,only talking from personal experience from the last 20 years of listening to my mates that are Man Utd fans who are from the midlands and never been to old Trafford.Constantly banging on about how great there team is.I feel sorry for the genuine United supporters,but the glory hunters really put me off wanting them to win against anybody!!

True, I thought Liverpool in Istanbul was almost as exciting as United at the Nou Camp. I was still happy for em, not my victory but still represent the epl and I felt the emotions swell a bit.

it may well be because i support a team that only gets into europe on a pre season tour (or stag weekend), but yes, that night was awesome.

also the semi's (or was it the quarters) against chelsea that year, or the one before, were truly epic matches.

those big euro nights are few and far between so must be enjoyed no matter who is contesting national pride.

Well it was a great team, it's undeniable as the results prove it, I say choose your friends better pmsl. Most man u fans probably write your kind of hatred off as pure jealousy in all honesty (not speaking for myself, I stay rational). And the true supporters don't need pity, we're a club like any others, with tens of thousands of loyal local fans like any other. I think you need to get over it mate, seriously.

Far from it I've been a season ticket holder at Leicester for the last 16 years the thing that is sad is glory hunting then trying to justify why people support that team.There is a lot of football teams outside the top six premier league teams,as Man Utd will find out.

True but man city probably now has fans it never did because it was a joke for years, all big clubs have that element, admittedly we have (or have had) a lot but we've been the biggest club. The 'fan' who puts their finger to the wind to see which way it's blowing will leave us for City, Chelsea or Liverpool. They probably are young and not dyed in the wool older fans cos we're just sad old romantics at heart and your club is for life.

Someone gave me pimms once at a barbecue. The fact it was a pink drink with leaves in it and some fruit was bad enough.

The taste was quite unexpected, I was like the great escape depositing cheeky mouthfuls all around, in the drain, on the begonias, on next doors cat as it passed through.

Grope away, im quite partial to public manhandling.I can't listen to talk sport without swearing, they're always idiots who ring in.

Tis a bit OTT. Bayern seem reticent to shoot from the edge of the box when they've had the opportunity. Flowing but seems they want to walk it in to the goal, quite surprised.

To try and be dead fair I think the sending off was a poor one so honours even I think, they played better but didn't produce in the final third, we largely chased the game. Probably lucky for us having 2 good players ruled out though.

Thought the sending off was correct, but Valencia should have gone prior to that, potentially different game if Welbecks goal had stood though.

As for the possession stats, not really interested, saw the current best team in Manchester get ripped apart by Bayern and Barca, too naïve in Europe still at the moment.

We worked very hard and stifled the current best team in Europe and deserved at least a draw tonight

fellaini got slaughtered on the radio last night, although it seemed football people thought he did a job for the team, whatever that may have been.

i very nearly crashed my truck celebrating man u's goal lol

glad they are still in the tie.

also, going by past history,im actually glad fergie wasnt in charge, as he would have gone for it, and the match, although it would have been madly more exciting, would have been a 6-3 beating for united, i have no doubt.

i really dont think fergie could have gotten a better result.

now, just to do a touch better in a fortnights time and, who the hell knows

could be 2 english teams in the semis, and who would have put money on them being the 2 that are still in it?

They must have watched a match with some other Fellaini. He played lots of short, inaccurate passes, half of which either put us in trouble inside our own half or he just kept hitting Bayern players with the ball and play broke down. I usually try not to draw any comparisons but im going to, Paul Scholes, lousy tackler he was but he was was a brilliant distributer of the ball and had an ability to pick out incredible passes that sometimes you struggled to even see were possible on Telly, Fellaini could only dream of being that good.

Actually welbeck started brightly but as we sank deeper and spent an hour chasing the ball any early threat was nullified. Giggs is 40, there seems to be huge expectation that he will make the difference. I know he can but god if we're relying on that we're in trouble.

Well said, don't think it will ever go away, but my lads follow my example and much as I dislike Liverpool I don't chant about the tragedies, if the adults took responsibility hopefully younger fans would follow.

I know Utd fans have a blinkered view but if you are looking at actual facts then since the simulation rule for yellow cards Januzaj is the leading offender along with Torres currently playing in the premiership and without doubt his games to offences well exceeds any other player in the premiership. Also food for thought comparing Manchester United and Liverpool Manchester united have double the yellow cards for simulation so far. It makes you think doesn't it I am half smiling at the cocks ticking in a Utd fans head as to how he can try to twist black and white facts on this one so do your best its a slow day here and I need some amusement.

Far from it but I was quoting a blinkered Man Utd fan who was factually wrong should I have made reference to José Mourinho being blinkered as Chelsea top the diving yellow cards with 8 yellow cards? José Mourinho didn't post on this thread neither did Tim Sherwood,Spurs are second with 6 yellows and if Bale was still there would have been top as he has 7 to his name far more than any other Premier player.

as for fans being blinkered, i have found liverpool fans to be amongst the most blinkered ever, especially those that phone up radio stations.

every year for the past 20 years they have been good enough to win the title, every year, without fail. even the year they got rid of hodgeson and were languishing near the bottom of the table (its ok, we will put a run together, i shit you not, i actually heard that!)

they had a west ham fan on motd the other week, and i have never heard so much one sided claptrap in my life.
