*Got too many emails can't reply all* .. I find this sometimes over exaggerating .Whats your peeps take on this one?

We went on holiday for a few days and came back to 120 + plus emails. We were not going to reply to all of them.

No filters on new pictures you can get them coming in quicker than you can reply at pub kicking out time or after the wifes bedtime.

a fanny attracts mails..simple..said fanny doesnt even need pics!

straight single guys exaggerate VERY much, as they get 'tonnes' of bi/gay/straight males messaging them...

...when they actually mean, they get a cpl of mails per week, from men..but it makes them very angry and disgusted

I know someone who gets 150 per day at minimum.

If she puts her filters right up she'll get at least 20. And that's guys dodging the filters.

I know that because I was with her when she logged in for about 5 minutes and she got 17 messages. Lol!

With an age range of 25 to 50 I was getting too many to answer them all. I had 180+ unread messages at one point. It's not a job its a hobby

The funniest tale I have heard was from a couple who the female half put up a profile aged mid 70s with unflattering pictures to see what would happen and it got over 900 messages in a 48 hour period. They were shocked and recorded it on cam to prove it and it all goes to show its anyone who looks attainable that can suck in the messages.

Even when I take my filters off I never have the hundreds that some folk get...I'm sure there's some who exaggerate but I also know of some who do get into 3 figures easily enough as I've glimpsed friends profiles when they've been logged on at mine

Try logging into my account and tell me I'm exaggerating, also take into account I may have logged on to go into forums or chat rooms, only have an hour to do so, because, yep you got it, I got a real life, so yes, most time I havent got time to mess about replying, especially as most of those messaging me dont meet what I'm looking for, but still take chance on messaging, then moan when dont get a reply.

Just because it doesn't happen to you doesn't mean it doesn't happen at all.

However, yes sometimes it's an exaggeration to say they can't reply to them all. What they mean is they don't want to spend their time replying to people who don't interest them, or they don't want to reply to them all. That's entirely fair. Nobody is owed a reply.

I got over 300 messages in my first 24 hours on Fab.

Even if reading their profile and replying took a minute (and it usually takes more than that) it would take more than 5 hours to reply to that lot. And in that 5+ hours, as I'd appear in the online now list, mail would keep arriving. Plus there would be the follow up messages from the people I was interested in and many of those I said no to.

5+ hours replying to messages is not my idea of fun.

Not an exaggeration. I currently have 500 unread messages. And it does make it difficult to talk to anyone!! I think there is about 30 guys to every girl I have heard. I feel for you guys!!

When I first joined years ago I had nearly 200 one night after I logged on. I deleted my profile within the hour. Discovered filters next time round and don't get as many now.

Seems totally barmy to me, how can you find anyone decent if you have hundreds of messages, we put the filters on within a day and we both look for suitable guys ourselves.

Is it just a case of liking having hundreds of messages???

Is it that if you look yourself you have to face rejection?

filters are brilliant. I don't get a quarter of the messages I used to. I've lifted the age restriction filters last couple of days and been getting a lot more, but a lot of those messages are from Forumites which was the reason I lifted them!

I don't whether to laugh or do this

I don't have the patience to sit and wait and hope that someone I'm interested in comes along. Much rather try my luck and go searching myself. The worst they can do is say no thanks.
