mouth abscess comfirmed

Iv been put on enough tablets to make me rattle, I have disolvable painkillers which I need to stringe to take it from due to not able to drink properly I hope the antibiotics work soon and I can have my mouth back to normal instead of having my right side looking like a hamster he he x

Don't worry, they work very quickly.

The pain should be almost gone in between 6-8 hours from experience.

Iv had it three days now the pain isn't as bad as it was but its still painful I hope the antibiotics kicks in soon for it to burst x

Ouch! I was skeptical when the dentist said the pain should be gone so quickly and was amazed when it did.

3 days is bad.

Ahhh OK, you haven't been taking them for 3 days then (is what I thought you meant).

You should be good by the morning. It is such a pleasant relief!

They hurt don't they? I kept getting them until I had my back tooth out. Hope you're better soon

Thank you _oddy.. I'm totally worn on running on empty at mo 3hours sleep in 3days and plus 9 hours shift at work I'm on empty body fuel haha I can't eat or drink, living on soup at the mo which still hurts to have x

What if it bursts when I'm asleep ( that's if I sleep) because you have to spit the nasty stuff out don't you but what if it bursts in the night and i swallow it as I'm sure I won't wake up in the night if it goes haha

A friend of mine had this recently there is an antibiotic given for the blood as well, given by the doctor, ( all new to me) for if it bursts it doesn't affect the blood stream.

sorry not a scare tactic, but Yes all new news to me, the face even had swollen bad, had black eye the lot,, I was taken to the oral dept at the hospital with mine, they lanced it, wow the relief, ring bus direct if it gets too bad.

You should of got a strong pain killer as well as antibiotics

I got 3 courses of antibiotics antiinflameteries and super strong pain killers off the dentist a couple of weeks ago and a root canal on the return visit

I've been to dentist today with abscess, give me amoxicillin and another antibiotic. Booked in next week for extraction, deep joy!
