South West London / Surrey

Our old laptop did that...

The screen started flickering when we first turned it on. It would tell stop if we moved it slightly, then it would start flashing again.

One day we switched it on and it was just a black screen.

Sure that has made you feel much better

In Your Bush

Try a liberal coating of peanut butter on the keyboard. It stops the dust, biscuit crumbs and any rogue jizz getting in.

Does it stop if you adjust the screen angle?

I mean by manually tilting the screen. I only say this as it could possibly be the connection has come loose although if it is this you would have to take it apart.

My old laptop died from old age last week, it was not flashing at me but would not load up windows properly on start up, could not log on to internet, tried system recovery, uninstalling stuff, everything but the fooker still wouldn't work, lol. It was 8 years old though and had become very slow at running so just got a new one 2 days ago.

Its only a old netbook and having no laptop will keep me out of trouble in the chat rooms anyway
