Sorry, couldn't resist.

Is he out of his depth or should they stick by him?

I can't see many top players which United will need to get back to the top wanting to play for him so I would suggest he needs to go. He seems a decent bloke but he looks out of his depth.

And what will happen at the end of the season? A period of trying to attract talent like he did last summer with zero success leading to the same squad for next year leaving Utd even further behind their rivals. I would take the tough decision now.

Give him 10 seasons to prove himself...break the mould of hiring and firing managers. Stick by your man for 1000 games and have nothing to show for it... (Ok, that was out of hand...)
