"police 5 did a test to see how many people would stop if they thought a little girl was lost just one woman did would you stop and help if you saw a lost looking child? sad in this day and age" I have done several times. I read once that men are less likely to stop to help a child as they think people assume they're kidnapping them. Sad state of affairs.

"Man of the couple typing: I've done this with a lost child in a Supermarket. The child was very upset and crying so I did the right thing and went with them to customer services desk (about ten yards away) so an announcement could be made. What I received for this was a nasty slap from the mother and being labeled a pervert..." what a sad world we live in would you do it again?

It's the right thing to do.

All I was told is that the mother was known to them but that I did the right thing so not to let it bother me. It was just one of those incidents that leave a real bad taste in the mouth but looking back I'd do the same again every time.
