Okay, this may be a bit different to other threads. But, i'm due an upgrade on my phone soon (after all the drama it's caused me lately) and have heard that the new HTC phone is coming out today.

Now, anyone else here use an HTC phone and how is it? I don't really know much about technology nowadays but i usually go for a new brand of phones every upgrade. Haven't had an Iphone or HTC yet. But, would prefer a brand spanking new phone.

..anyone know much about this phone and would it be worth getting? Be ideal if you worked for Carphone Warehouse too, as that's the store that will be receiving it apparently.

As a disclaimer maybe i should say that the contract i'm on at the moment is actually quite good (and also relatively cheap) so i don't really want to change providers.

My mates had an HTC for his last two phones and he's always a bit jealous of my Samsung Galaxy

Yeah, i've had a look and the phone does look good. May take some getting used to from my Samsung but that's not a problem as i usually just call or text anyway. Don't do anything fancy with it.

..just looking for some genuine reviews and responses. Obviously this phone isn't out yet but i'm quite interested in it.

HTC one is an excellent phone , had an iPhone 5 and swapped to the HTC and it smashed the iPhone in so many ways !

The sound out of it is awesome !

Also check out cashback deals from cash back sites, as you may be able to get some extra dosh, for the same deal you're interested in. I've had a load of money back from online shopping, hotel booking etc, so always check who's offering some money.

I had an HTC years ago, and it was superbly well made. But, it pays to get reviews on the phones, compare specs, and use places like gsmarena for details, amongst others.

Yeah, those speakers are what's winning me over. I do love things noisy lol

The sound really is amazing for a phone ! Beats audiobuilt in too so when headphones are in the sound is fantastic too

I have the HTC 0ne and its brilliant before that had Samsung and Blackberry and would not go back to either.

My son is due an upgrade from an iphone and wont get the 5 - he waiting for the new HTC 0ne M8.

I only had one issue and that was an app i downloaded messed up a bit of software which i resolved myself.

Yeah. That's the one coming out today. I'm thinking of going Carphone Warehouse and getting myself an early upgrade.

You will soon get used to the menu and the camera and sound is something else in terms of what you can do with it on videos etc.

If you want to know anything else give me a shout.

I got mine with Yoda and i get unlimited calls and txts plus 2mb of data for £34.00pm.

That price includes a discount ref NHS which i am not sure if all carriers offer or is common knowledge its generally 20% off contract price thanks to my son
