6 for stocking 2 either side if I am wearing holdups, unfortunately holdups without the suspenders still slip so I wear them with

I always wear suspenders with hold ups too. They roll down otherwise

Ive been wearing 4 and they end up half way down my legs so I pull them up and put my nails through them.

I have rather large thighs so tend to go for 8 or 10 strap. Keeps them firmly in place. Particularly when I am at work
