Slurping your tea on the train? Please stop!

I'm not sure if I am too intolerant or tired from travelling, but my change at Crewe can't come quick enough.

What annoys you on public transport?

Paying a fortune for a ticket on a train and having to stand up meanwhile 1st class has 4 empty coaches.

If the train company have not sold it out they should reduce the number of 1st class seats.

Same gripe about tickets/lack of seats AND people who insist on having very loud telephone conversations on trains, the rest of the carriage does not need to know their business nor do most of them want to!!

Morning people who chat very loudly at 7am on a train when I just want to relax in the quiet, drink my coffee and prepare myself for the day.

"Paying a fortune for a ticket on a train and having to stand up meanwhile 1st class has 4 empty coaches."

And this. I had to stand most days both to and from work. I found if I caught Virgin trains though the conductors usually told me to just go sit in 1st class.

Where do I start!!

Loud lipsmacking eating, putting your bag on the seat next to you knowing it's a full train phonecalls where you speak so loud you'd think it was a couple of paper cups and 30metres of string they're talking through.

Ignoring the meaning of quiet carriage.

Screaming, crying children.

Someone trying to become your new best friend on a long journey.

Oh don't get me started...

People with their feet on the seats

Bags on seats

Music from headphones

Foghorn Legorns holding phone conversations

Primary school kids on school trip: the incessant chatter

Teenagers shouting, dressed in their school uniform talking about sex

Mothers with buggies

Crying babies: in a confined space it drills through you

People eating hot food

People swigging beer

People who have an aversion to soap and water...

...thank you for the opportunity to vent my spleen!

Poor Hygiene on a packed carriage and bad manners. I have seen so many times where a lady or elderly person is forced to stand while the man just sits in his seat..

Noisy and messy eaters are my biggest pet hate anywhere.

We currently have a temp security guard working the night shift with us. He gets through a shift by eating his way through a small food mountain. Last night 12 bags of crisps, 10 chocolate bars, 2 main meals, 2 packets of biscuits, 2 cup a soups, 4 cans of fat and several cups of coffee.

I heard every mouthful, even with head phones on

My biggest peeve is people whistling. - Say what you want but it is noise pollution!

And like someone said about crying babies, in a confined space, it drills right through you. - Thanks to that and other noises, I won't travel anywhere without an MP3 player now.

Oh, and when you get on a train or bus, look up the aisle and every lone fecker has sat on an outside seat (either to get up easier or prevent someone from sitting next to them) and you awkwardly have to pick one and ask them to get up so you can shuffle across their lap into the window seat. - These are the ones that usually don't get off until the end of the line aswell.

- Amy. x

Children aged 12 upwards who think they are adult enough to use the word "fuck".

People on mobile phones who talk really loudly.

People who smell.

What annoys you on public transport?

The other people!

Everything always seems nosier and more annoying when you are stuck in an enclosed space.
