We all know there are 'time wasters' on this site, be them men, women or couples.

Maybe this is just a learning process for you to better vet the people you meet without becoming disappointed.

I think however the vetting is done, people not turning up to parties and arranged group meets is always going to be a problem.

I gather it's more common for no-shows to be single men than couples or women but I have no personal experience to support or deny that.

"I think however the vetting is done, people not turning up to parties and arranged group meets is always going to be a problem. "

To a point, of course.

"I gather it's more common for no-shows to be single men than couples"

Surely that would do with the ratio of site population.

I'm not defending single men, I'm not meeting them so frankly I don't give a bollocks (and I don't mean I don't sympathise with people being let down).

Site population isn't relevant though. Even if equal numbers of couples, women and men are invited to an event, I'm told it's usually more single men who are no-shows than couples or women. Again though, this is what I've been told because my personal experience of parties is limited.

Unless for a GB or bukkake party, few events would want an excess of single men anyway, I'd guess.

It doesn't matter to me either though.

But of course it is. There will be a higher number of time wasters therefore it would esacerbate the results (more chance of someone being a no show).

I see your point. Sounds feasible.

I used to run socials we usualy had more single guys want to go than couples and single fems together. We would start by maybe 60 wanting to attend. Then end with say 15 in the finl number. But then only 6 or 7 actually turn up. Out of 36 or more ouplea wemight have 2 not turn up and usually allthe single fems atttended. So single guys are far the worst timewaster

Clubs and private meets are different though.

I guess there's an issue with single male attendance at clubs for several reasons.

Guys are constantly being advised to try clubs for various reasons (some right, some wrong).

As an 'ex' single guy I've heard and seen many.

Those successful guys on sites like Fab are advised to try them, as they are likely to widen their circle of friends and enjoy the social/fun nature of clubs in equal measure. This tends to be true.

Guys that may be struggling are advised to try clubs to get their face known, to meet more people socially at first, to enable them to get those all important veri's, to 'boost' their chances of fun. Whilst these are all logical suggestions - when made in the 'virtual' world, knowing little of a guys real personality, attitude and confidence - they may result in initial interest, bookings at clubs and chats online - but the guys may bottle it, find an alternative meet, or simply have a wank to sort their urges and then pop down the pub with their mates.

Regular single male club goers will rarely 'no-show' without good reason.

First timers and those acting on advice from total strangers.........?

A

Generalisations like this surely are unfair and serve to only exacerbate the "bad press" that comes with being a single male.

Obviously don't know all the circumstances involved and I do appreciate that there are timewaster here, but people can have their legitimate reasons for not showing too.

Plus ... I notice you still had a "great night."

Fair comment. I've not attended a club....yet, but will do in a couple of weeks, so I can imagine it can be a bit daunting and why they bottle it.

"We aren't all the same"

And out of the 8 , some will have had genuine reasons for not attending. Least you still had a great night.

In the middle

It's not fair to generalise just because 8 men didn't show, the single guys get a bad press as it is and yet I only meet single guys and find them on the whole ( pardon the pun ) to be rather fab
